Thales Acquires Gemalto Netherlands

Atos, the French technology consulting firm, has made an offer to purchase Gemalto, a Dutch tech company. The deal was announced two weeks ago, at a premium of 42 percent over the company’s stock price. The acquisition will create a unified group that specializes in developing secure solutions for everything from mobile devices to airport security. It will also significantly boost Thales’ digital expertise, particularly in the internet of things and artificial intelligence.

Gemalto is a public company with its headquarters in Amsterdam and operations in 44 countries. It is the world’s largest supplier of SIM cards, and its subsidiaries manufacture different types of plastic cards. It also develops software and equipment that reads data from these cards and USB markers for online identity protection. The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in the Netherlands. However, it has offices in many other countries, including Canada, the US, and Asia.

The company was founded in 1994 and is now a global leader in digital security. It has a revenue of EUR2.4 billion and employs over 12,000 people. It also has research centers, software development centers, and 85 offices throughout 44 countries. Its products are used in many industries, including banking, health care, retail, and finance. While it may be a bit expensive for some companies, Gemalto’s high-tech products are making the world safer.
